Rocketry at Virginia Tech will be competing in the 30k COTS category of the International Rocket Engineering Competition (IREC) in the summer of 2028, where we will strive to achieve a 30,000-foot apogee with a commercial off-the-shelf motor. In pursuit of this goal, students gain invaluable hands-on technical and teamwork experience.
